NEIGHBORHOOD CHALLENGE
Moving forward:
Now that we have our Presumptive Nominee in Barack Obama, we can act as one in the 34th toward the singular goal of electing Democrats into every level of government from the White House on down.
With the assistance of our wonderful new Field Organizer, Kimber McCreery, we'll be able to create new and fun ways to accomplish the goals of the 34th Legislative District. The Neighborhood Challenge has been expanded from strictly neighbor-to-neighbor to include the 'go where the people are' approach to registering voters.
In the coming months we will be conducting training, special canvassing events like the one on June 28th for High Point, and new programs like the Adopt-a-Precinct to address the imbalance of activists in our District.
As always we'll be on hand to find help and provide electronic walk lists for individual Precinct Committee Officers who want to register voters in their own precincts.
I've created a toolkit to help people conduct their own canvassing activities as well as taking advantage of 'micro-events' like church picnics and yard sales, wherever people gather, to register voters on the fly.
Feel free to contact Artemis or Kimber with any questions, suggestions or requests.
Let's turn those blank doors Blue,
Artemis OakGrove Neighborhood Challenge Coordinator
