34th District Precinct Committee Officers, meeting at the Hall at Fauntleroy on Thursday, November 1st, recommended Sharon Nelson for appointment as State Representative, Position 2, which became open when Joe McDermott was appointed State Senator on October 15th. The PCO's, convened by King County Democrats's chair Susan Sheary, voted in two ballots and also recommended Toni Lysen and Greg Doss as second and third candidates for the position. The King County Council will make the final decision on the appointment, perhaps as early as November 5th.
