Democrats on the March!
Democrats
in the 34th District are coming out in large numbers to parade at the Strawberry Festival,
Hi-Yu, Burien and Jubilee Days. We are well on the way to re-electing our great legislative
trio, State Senator Eric Poulsen, Rep. Eileen Cody and Rep. Joe McDermott.
And we'll help return U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell to DC and help regain a Democratic
majority in Congress.

Energy Forum Successful!
"The Nation which broke the scourge of slavery in the 19th Century can break the scourge
of its addiction to oil in the 21st century." With those words, United States
Congressman Jay Inslee keynoted the 34th Districts Clean Energy Future forum
at Madison Middle School on July 15th. Inslee also accepted the prestigous "Conservation Eagle" Award of the Northwest Energy Coaltion from the coaltion's director

Governor Christine Gregoire started the re-election campaign of State Senator Erik
Poulsen, and Representatives Eileen Cody and Joe McDermott on Tuesday, July 11th. See

the 15th, south of Yakima. This is a real chance for Democrats to increase our

Our Clean Energy Future - July 15th
On Saturday, July 15th, the 34th District is sponsoring an Energy Forum and Fair. U.S. Representative Jay Inslee, a national leader on energy issues, will keynote the forum. Come talk with him and many of the other individuals and organizations who are leading the search for alternatives to fossil fuels, and who are actively working to combat global warming and climate change. Come to the energy forum planning meeting (see calendar) or contact Forum organizer and 34th District 2nd Vice-Chair Tim Nuse if you can help.

Precinct Committee Officers and Candidates for PCO: You Must File for Election by July 28th, 4:30PM!!
Download the Declaration of Candidacy Form from the King County Elections website, fill it out, and take it (don't mail it, TAKE it) to King County elections, King County Admin. Bldg., Room #553, 500 Fourth Ave., Seattle, WA 98104 by 4:30 PM on Friday, July 28th. Need more information? Call our PCO Coordinator, Bruce Stotler, at 937-4783.

The Democratic Reunion
Washington ED Jaxon Ravens and nine other State Party EDs from around the country joined the DNC in helping to develop the next National Organizing Event.
On Saturday, July 29, the Democratic National Committee, in conjunction with the State Parties, will host the second National Organizing Event of 2006 - the Democratic Reunion: 100 Days, 100 People, 100 Actions. The Democratic Reunion will encourage party officials, volunteers, activists and other concerned citizens to gather together in our communities and become part of the 100 Days Plan where they will commit to contact 100 voters between July 29 and Election Day 2006.
