April 13th Meeting Minutes
Call to Order: 7:00 PM
I. Flag Salute led by Brian Earl
II. Chair goes over rules for the nomination process.
III. Announcement: Annual Garden Party & Auction will take place
on Friday, September 16th. Dave Ross from KIRO radio will be MC
and host.
IV. Nominations proceed:
Nominations for Seattle City Council, Pos. #6
Dan Fiefez nominated Nick Licata and was seconded. Nomination
passed (one vote was opposed didn't get number of votes for).
Nominations for Seattle City Council, Pos. #8 (McIver, Pelz,
Rosencrantz)
Tom Carr made motion to nominate Richard McIver for sole
endorsement and was seconded. Motion failed 14 to 76.
Lara-Anne Jordan made motion to nominate Dwight Pelz for
endorsement and was seconded. Motion passed 48 to 16.
Walter Sive made motion to nominate Robert Rosencrantz for
endorsement and was seconded. Motion passed 76 to 5.
Tom Carr made motion to nominate Richard McIver for endorsement
and was seconded. Motion failed by lack of 2/3 majority 35 to 32.
Nominations for Seattle City Council, Pos. #2 (Conlin, Miller,
Madenwald)
Tom Rasmussen moved to nominate Richard Conlin for a sole
endorsement and was seconded. Motion failed 42 to 48.
Russ Brubaker moved to nominate Richard Conlin for endorsement
and was seconded. Motion passed 86 to 9.
Dina Johnson moved to nominate Paige Miller for endorsement
and was seconded. Motion failed 22 to 60.

Corr, Averill)
Bruce Stotler made motion to nominate for sole endorsement
of Jan Drago and was seconded. Motion failed 24 to 66..
Leslie Harris made motion to nominate for endorsement of
Jan Drago and was seconded. Motion failed due to less than 2/3 majority
50 to 30.
Richard Bartlett made motion to nominate for endorsement
Angel Bolanos and was seconded. Motion failed 24 to 40.
Bill Schier made motion to nominate Casey Corr for endorsement
and was seconded. Motion failed due to less than 2/3 majority 43
to 40.
Alex Pye made motion to nominate Linda Averill for endorsement
and was seconded. Motion failed 14 to 51.

Lucy Krakowiak made motion to nominate Susan Blazek for and
was seconded. Motion passed 71 to 0.

Bryce)
Jack Block made motion to nominate McGilton and was seconded.
Motioned passed 73 to 0.
Nominations for Burien City Council, Pos. #5 (Lamphear,
Clark)
Debra Rosen made motion to endorse Lamphear and was seconded.
Motion failed 22 to 32.
Toni Lysen made motion to endorse Rose Clark.Burien and was
seconded. Motion failed 21 to 35.
Nominations for King County Sheriff (Schmidt, Rahr)
Bill Schrier moved to endorse Greg Schmidt and was seconded.
Motion passed 43 to 9.
Tom Carr moved to endorse Sus Rahr and was seconded. Motion
passed 43 to 14.

Nominations for Monorail Board (Stockmeyer, Laws)
There was a unanimous vote by members to reinstate both Stockmeyer
and Laws.
Alan Munroe made motion to table discussion on I330 and I331
until September's meeting. Motion passed 30 to 5.
