The Diversity Committee is chaired by Tamsen Spengler. It meets the fourth Thursdays of the month, 7:00 - 8:30 PM, at locations which vary. See calendar to the right for the next upcoming meeting. You can reach Tamsen via email by clicking here or by phone at 206.932.2772.
The Diversity Committee will strive to maintain and increase the diversity within the 34th District Democrats' leadership and membership to reflect the community. The committee will promote and create an inclusive membership that welcomes all people, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, disability, age, socioeconomic class or sexual orientation. The committee will provide advice on how to engage diverse community members in civic issues and collaborate with them to move their issues forward. The committee will assist new members to participate in volunteer and leadership opportunities within the 34th District Democrats. Diversity will be included in all of the 34th district committees, programs and advocacy.
